Mary M. Edwards Tyler memory album, 1857-1876.

Memory album belonging to Mary M. Edwards Tyler (known as Miss Mary Edwards in 1857), with entries by her sister Fannie and others, plus seven cartes de visite. Two photographs are identified: one as Julia Maria Horner, and the other as Louise Stockton Hornor (daughter of Dr. Caleb W. and Julia M. Hornor of Philadelphia. Julia Hornor was born in Washington, D.C.). Another photograph is inscribed to Cousin Kitty from Nannie. Cartes de visite are by Washington, D.C., photographers, R.W. Addis of McClees Gallery, and Henry Ulke; and Alexandria, Va., photographer E. Schuler. There are several loose plates in the album. Washington City, D.C., is written in the front and throughout the album.
